Post Chase Control ...

What has taken over from common sense? Are you old enough to recall how well the reputation of the NRA was back in the fifties? Or even the sixties? The NRA was the epitome of what America stood for. The top of the mountain when it came to educating our youth about gun use, the shooting sports and hunting. When you said the letters "NRA" you were looked upon as an American Sportsman.

If you wanted a hunting permit, you went to an NRA instructor. (Still do). If you wanted instructions on how to shoot anything, you went to an NRA Instructor. (Still do). What happened? Fear. Fear happened. Fear mixed with the worst kind of catalyst. The kind of catalyst which caused such an explosive reaction that the resulting damage control was deemed, "Impossible!"

That catalyst is "POLITICS!" Excuse the use of capital letters. And along with the politician practitioners of that catalyst went the other white meat ... the media.

Politicians and media, the two organizations which seek attention to the extent that they lie, exaggerate and compete with one the other for a piece of the pie of citizens' attention.

Now folks, tell me the truth. Do you believe politicians and the media? If you answered "yes" do me a favor, please leave. You are not only not welcome in my piece, but you are part of the problem.

Pssst. Are they gone? Good. Now we begin.

Having said truth, let me say more truth. Politicians and the media have so damaged our society that it is nearly impossible to return to normalcy. Normalcy is the state of common sense. Lacking in our society today and for many years, lack of common sense means stupidity. Culpable stupidity. Whether accidental or on purpose, the entertainment industry has created an analgesic more effective than morphine on our population. Children now adults have grown up on the drug of TV, the drug of movies and the drug of (so-called) music. The main ingredient in these drugs of choice for mind control?

Reality. Yup. Reality. It's what they attempt to portray. What is reality? Hmmm. I cannot easily explain it. So allow me the luxury of an example. Reality is when (in the fifties Western movie) a guy gets shot, falls off his horse and is nurtured by the hero who looks over the wounded man with pity and love whilst he expires.

So what?

Hey, I said "pay attention!" You are not paying attention. Remember that scene again. There was no blood. No torn clothing where the bullet entered and a huge forty-five calibre exit wound. OK?

Now for today's reality.

The guy is riding his horse, gets shot by a man with a gattling gun. Immediately the screen is filled with this spray of pink containing pieces of the man's guts, bone, flesh and brain matter. An eyeball flashes by the screen and the man is screaming in an agony of pain and torment.

Reality.

So what? Cheeses you guys are just NOT paying attention are you. Reality. Reality. See, the reality of the first scene is that when a man gets shot there is no pain, no blood and no guts displayed. In the second scene there is all of the above and more. In both cases though, the excitement of the scene is critical to the reality of just how much adrenaline is pumped in one scene as opposed to the other. There is virtually no adrenaline in the first scene but virtually huge amounts of adrenaline in the second.

When I was a kid, after such a movie I would strap on my six guns and run outside and kill the imaginary bad guys. Of course, I did have a set of six guns. Much maligned these days. Can't have the six shooters but we CAN have the blood, guts and murderous gore on the telly. Reality. Really!?

Today a kid has little choice in his or her attempt to eliminate and use up that adrenaline which was none existent in yesteryear. Besides, the guys who wore the white hats were the heroes back then. Today, the bad guys are the heroes all too often. Crime and violence are glamorized. Respect for law and order, fro authority, is not glamorized. Why is that?

Reality.

So, the postulation is that violence is glamorized, bad guys are glamorized and all of that violence is infused with an amount of adrenaline enough to anger the Chinese Army. It's easy to shoot somebody when you are all hyped up on drugs. Drugs such as I mentioned earlier. But it's hard to do that when the good guy dies and everybody is sad. These days the bad guy dies and everybody is ANGRY.

Dichotomy or Oxymoron?

You decide.

Now about Post Chase Control. It's Cop Talk. When the chase is on and the cop finally gets the bad guy, the cop is trained to get rid of that adrenaline and prevent himself from doing some street justice of his own and beating the shit out of the perp. Which is easy to do.

Post Chase Gun Control is just that. No one trains the public on how to eliminate and dissipate the adrenaline and anger when some innocent gets shot. Blame it on the gun and the perp. Not the perp. It's what politicians trained us to do in order to get into office. It's what the media has done to get our attention. To get our adrenaline up. So high that common sense is no longer there in sufficient strength to allow it to come to the surface. There is so much adrenaline, so much bull shit, so many lies by politicians and the media that it just does NOT stop flowing.

Who to blame. Who? Yourselves. If you don't wake up to the bovine excrement you are being fed 24/7 then you had better give up on being free, being in control. Being an American. If you don't wake up, you will find yourselves part of the United Nations of North America and soon thereafter, of the New World Order. You will not have a Constitution to argue over. It'll just be you and UN police. You and foreigners on our sacred land. No more American Flag to burn. It'll be the World Flag.

"Not so bad!" you say?

Everyone who says that please do the rest of us a favor. Commit suicide.
